Heelan High School

Studnets standing outside HeelanBishop Heelan High School students are now learning in a beautiful new classroom building — wired and equipped for 21st century learning.

Our new $11 million, two-floor addition features
29 classrooms, three breakout study rooms for team work, a library/media center, an elevator and spacious stairways. Unlike our old school, Heelan’s five science classrooms feature a lab in each room to enable more hands-on learning without switching rooms.

Each one of our wireless access classrooms is equipped with a 70-inch Vizio TV with sound bar to connect with faculty’s all new laptop/tablets. Except for science rooms, every classroom is carpeted and equipped with PA telephone system for school announcements. In addition, each teacher has a new desk and storage cabinets, thanks to generous donations by former faculty, staff and the class of 1967. Offices are located to foster more collaborative staff interactions. In addition lunch served in the Heelan Commons eliminates the need for students to walk to the Heelan CYO.

Framed art of 51 Catholic saints, a ceiling cross design, our beautiful Chapel and religious stairwell art all reinforce the Catholic identity of our high school.

A new high school gymnasium is now under construction for a planned opening in August, 2019.
