Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) 

Sacred Heart’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) serves as a bridge between school and home, strengthening communication and building a close, supportive school family. The PTO sponsors events throughout the year that bring students, families, and staff together, while also raising funds to support classroom learning and teacher needs.

Sacred Heart PTO does not maintain a separate Facebook page. Instead, communication and sign-up opportunities are shared through an annual email at the beginning of the school year, along with additional updates as needed.

Events & Activities Sponsored by PTO

The PTO coordinates and supports a variety of events and activities throughout the school year, including:

  • First Friday Teacher Appreciation Event
  • Sunshine Cart (monthly snack cart for teachers)
  • Teacher Conference Meals (fall and spring)
  • Book Fair
  • Christmas & Spring Concert VIP Parking and Bake Sale
  • Catholic Schools Week Pizza Bingo Family Night
  • Annual Fundraiser (Fun Run or Read-A-Thon)
  • Teacher Appreciation Week (first week in May, with a different daily theme to celebrate and thank our teachers)
  • Field Day / Family Picnic (spring)

These events help build community while directly supporting students and staff throughout the year.

Impact of PTO Support

Funds raised through the PTO’s annual fundraiser have allowed Sacred Heart to purchase important items for the school and classrooms that fall outside of the regular school budget.

Most recently, PTO funds helped purchase new playground equipment for students to enjoy. Moving forward, funds raised will support our building expansion project, helping shape the future of Sacred Heart School.

  • Hy-Vee School Bucks Program: Save eligible Hy-Vee receipts from Sioux City and South Sioux City stores (August 1 – April 24)
