About: I was born and raised in Chandler, Minnesota which has a total population of 352! I attended Dordt College for my Bachelor’s in elementary education. I then attended the University of West Alabama for my Master’s in School Counseling. I’ve been married to my husband Mark for 43 years and we have three children. I chose to be a school counselor because I was inspired by my own high school counselor who made an impact on my own life. I love playing a small role in helping students prepare for life after high school and become productive members of society.

About: I was born in Grand Island, NE and moved to Sioux City at the age of 10. I attended South Dakota State University for college and pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Science Education. I then received my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Buena Vista. My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 12 years and we have 5 children. Looking back on high school, I did not have the best experience with my counselor and that is what inspired me to become a counselor myself. I wanted to help guide kids as they pursued careers post high school. I love when kids have their “AHA moment” and they realize what they want to do. It is so fun to play a part in them living out their dreams by giving them the opportunities.

About: I was born and raised in Sioux City and graduated from Bishop Heelan in 2015. I attended Rockhurst University for my Bachelor’s in Psychology and my Master’s in Occupational Therapy. I married my husband, Jeff, in 2021. After a few years working in healthcare, and a big nudge from God, I decided I wanted to switch directions and work in a school setting helping students achieve their full potential. I have loved being a part of the BHCS system the last 3 years as an Interventionist addressing social emotional needs of the students. It is a blessing to be able to give back to the school that shaped me into who I am today. This place and these people mean so much to me and being able to support the students inside and outside of school is the best part as well as making lasting connections.

About: I was born and raised in Sioux City, IA. I graduated from Bishop Heelan in 1990. My husband, Steve, and I have 5 children and we've been married for 26 years. I attended Simpson College in Redding California. I have my Bachelor's in Liberal Arts and also received my teaching credential. My current job is being the Registrar for Bishop Heelan and I think my job is best described as "the keeper of all information". I've enjoyed working here and the people I work with have quickly become my favorite part!
