TADS will handle tuition aid assessment

Parents seeking to lower student tuition for next school year will be able to apply for financial aid beginning Feb. 5. The online application form will be available on Heelan’s website in both English and Spanish. The filing deadline is April 1.

Bishop Heelan and the Diocese of Sioux City aare partnering with a new financial aid provider for fair and confidential financial need assessments. Parents will now file their online application with TADS Financial Aid Assessment Service, based in Minneapolis, Minn. TADS was selected by a committee of the Diocese of Sioux City after a careful review of several companies.
“We are pleased to offer the experienced services of TADS to our Catholic school families,” says Jeff LaFavor, BHCS director of school enrollment. “TADs is partnering with us to help make our catholic school education more affordable for our families.”

TADS will be available for questions by email, online chat or phone. Nearly 75 percent of BHCS families receive financial aid. Parents who are approved for assistance will receive grants from two major sources — the Bishop Heelan Local Tuition Aid Fund and the Sioux City Diocese Scholarship grant program.
