The Drake Relays are this weekend, and Bishop Heelan will be represented in two different events.
The Crusaders will compete in the boys’ 4x100-meter relay and there will be a girls team in the same race.
The Crusaders’ girls qualified in the 74th seed with a seed time of 51.96 seconds. There are six ladies listed on the heat sheet: Alize Rau, Kenley Meis, Maria Brown, Shannon Cleary, Maddie Demke and Charlie Wiener.
The girls will compete just after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Boys qualifiers
The boys who will be competing are Ricky Feauto, Drew Uhl, Hunter Wauhob, Sean Schaefer, while the alternates are Carson Rose, Isaiah Favors, Quinn Olson and James Arlt.
Heelan qualified as the No. 44 overall seed out of 96 teams statewide with a seed time of 43.84 seconds.
The boys will compete in the seventh heat just after 10 a.m. Saturday.
