Science Camp for Grades 6-8 Offered at Heelan

Dave Fravel, Heelan science teacher, will help lead a second four-day “Science Classic” camp for students entering grades 6-8 July 9-12 at 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The camp will be held in the new Bishop Heelan High School science classrooms. There is room for one more student.

The camp offers students hands-on experiences with microscopes, physics and anatomy/physiology. Fravel and two other teachers offer activities in a fun and relaxed setting to explore chemistry anatomy,  physiology of the human brain, circulation. respiration and more.

The camp, sponsored by the CNOS Foundation Stephen H. Noel, M.D. Memorial Fund, is a one of a kind experience in Sioux City to introduce students to unique labs and activities.
