Posted on 02/04/2020
“Happy Days,” a salute to the ‘50s, will be the theme of this year’s Heelan Auction on Saturday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott Center in South Sioux City.

“We’re excited about this year’s ‘50s theme,” says John Flanery. “As we look to the promise of the future in our completed new high school, we celebrate our past and the first decade of Bishop Heelan High School.”

The Happy Days Auction Chair Couples and the schools they represent are: Chris and Joy Bogenrief, Bishop Heelan High School; Ron and Katie Demers, Holy Cross School; Dave and Laurie Bentson, Mater Dei School; and Mike and Julie Maas, Sacred Heart School.

Last year, the Heelan Auction exceeded the goal and raised $373,000. The goal this year is $400,000. The Heelan Auction is the only fundraising event of the year to support the mission of Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools. Proceeds provide vital support to the BHCS Education Fund for Heelan High and the three elementary schools.

In addition to fun décor, music, dinner and mobile bidding this year’s event will feature an awards program, a DJ and live streaming of part of the Heelan Auction.

Fun ‘50s attire is encouraged. Learn more at bidpal.net/HeelanAuction.
