Bishop Heelan Celebrates 2020 Homecoming

Homecoming Royalty will be Crowned at Game Half-time

Bishop Heelan High School students and family members celebrate Homecoming Week Sept. 26-Oct. 3.

While some activities have been scaled back for public health safety, several fun traditions have continued. The week’s theme will be “Roaring Twenties” and these activities:

Monday: dress as in in quarantine.

Tuesday: Color Day, Muscle Man Boys Volleyball Game of junior vs seniors, Fieldhouse, 7 p.m.

Wednesday:  Twin Day, Powder Puff football game of senior girls vs. junior girls, 7 p.m. at Memorial Field.

Thursday:  9 to 11 a.m. Crusader Olympics, No community service due to COVID-19 Safety. 

Friday: Around 6:45 p.m. before the 7 p.m. football game kickoff there will be a special program naming the Heelan Grandstand.

Royalty will be introduced and crowned during the football game halftime in place of the traditional Homecoming Assembly.

Heelan Homecoming King candidates are: Joe Adams, Jack Flannery, Jack Van Holland, Bereket Ware and Noah Zeisler.

Homecoming Queen candidates are: Maya Bishwokarma, Mary Kate Fitzsimmons, Avery Nelson, Jenny Nguyen and Natalie Olson.

Saturday:  Homecoming Dance at O’Gorman Fieldhouse at assigned times for safety. Freshman: 7-7:55 p.m., Sophomores:  8-8:55 p.m., Juniors: 9-9:55 p.m. and Seniors:  10-11 p.m.
