Iowa Residents Only 

K- 12th grade: $10,200
Preschool: $3,600 for preschool initiative students. To qualify for the Iowa Preschool Initiative, the student must be an Iowa resident and 4-years old on September 15, 2025 (they can’t be 3 or 5 years old on September 15 to receive this rate).
$5,400 for non-preschool initiative student.
3 Year Old Preschool: $6,400 for P3 program 5 full days each week. This program is offered at Holy Cross St. Michael’s location only. An additional option for the P3 program is M-F mornings only at $4,600.

Educational Savings Account (ESA)

All Iowa residents qualify for the ESA for the 2025 - 2026 school year!

Current and new students K-12th grade, out of pocket will be around $2,200 (per child, up to two children) after ESA funds are applied (Tuition is $10,200 minus the ESA amount of around $8,000). Iowa families are required to complete a NEW ESA application for the 2025 - 2026 school year.

No additional out of pocket expense is required beyond the ESA funds for the 3rd+ children. Parents must apply for the ESA funds for all children attending BHCS K-12th grade.
All families who fail to submit an application will be charged full tuition of $10,200 for K-12th grade. No tuition assistance will be available if you miss this deadline!

The application opens April 16, 2025 and closes June 30, 2025.

Nebraska and South Dakota Residents Only

Returning Students and New Catholic Families

• Returning students and new Catholic families are eligible for a 7.6% Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) tuition discount, with a minimum of $3,000 per child. Your AGI can be found on Form 1040, Line 11 of your 2024 federal tax return. Those who qualify for minimum will pay up to 2 children. Those who do not qualify for minimum will pay up to 3 children.
  • K - 8th grade: $10,200 discounted to $7,000
  • High School: $10,200 discounted to $8,000
• New Catholic families are required to submit an official letter from their Parish confirming their registration and statement of active involvement.
• If you’re interested in a tuition discount, please provide BHCS with your first 2 pages of your 2024 federal tax return. You can do so by going to our secure portal at www.bishopheelan.org/admissions/tuition or by dropping it off at our Admin Office.

 

New Non-Catholic Families

• No tuition assistance available from Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools.
• Limited scholarships may be available to high school students only.
