Thanking Fr. Deman on his 10th Anniversary

Heelan Chaplain Marks 10 Years of Priesthood
Posted on 07/09/2018
Fr.Shane DemanGods blessings on Fr. Shane Deman, Heelan Chaplain and '99 Heelan graduate on the 10th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. Since arriving at Heelan in 2015 he earned a Doctorate degree in Sacred Theology at the Gregorian University in Rome, led spiritual retreats, organized service days, celebrated Mass, heard confessions, led school prayer, counseled students and attended countless games and events.

Also serving as as vocations director for the Sioux City Diocese, Fr. Deman has guided students to Steubenville religious conferences, worked closely with faculty and staff, prayed over Heelan construction workers, led a sacred Eucharistic procession from the old to new Heelan, selected spiritual art and scripture for our new high school, took part in news interviews, led a Theology on Tap and supported our students in a million other ways.

We are grateful for all of our priests and especially thankful for our Heelan Chaplain -- Fr. Deman, son of Heelan graduates the late Greg and Francine Deman.
