during service trips out of town during the school year.urban plunge kids

They have embarked on “Urban Plunge” trips where they work in soup kitchens and serve in homeless shelters sorting donated clothing and seeing the effects of inner city poverty. Students address what they’ve experienced and learned and discuss possible solutions to address the issues of poverty in communities.

They also traveled to support retired sisters in Dubuque. There they have raked lawns, cleaned, baked cookies and played bingo with retired religious. They reflect on their service and its meaning in living their faith.
